Contracts signed by several people, each with their ID card or token
Send a PDF to the people who need to sign it, and each of them signs in the TapSign app with their electronic ID card or USB token. The document is encrypted on your device before it leaves, so not even we can read it. It is free.

How to send a contract

Sign in and turn on Documents
Contracts are tied to your email address and encrypted with the same key as Documents. You turn it on once, in the app.

Tap New contract and choose the PDF
Give it a title and, if you like, a message to the signers.

Add the signers
The name and email address of each, up to ten people. You can sign too. Choose whether they sign in turn, in the order of the list, or in any order, and how long the contract stays open: between 7 and 90 days.

Place the boxes on the page
Each signer has a colour. Drag the box to where that person should sign.

Send
The signers get the invitation by email: all at once or, if you chose an order, one at a time, each after the one before has signed. You can also share the link yourself from the app, on any channel.
How to sign a contract you received

Open the invitation
The link in the email opens the contract in TapSign. If you do not have the app yet, you can read it in the browser at tapsign.eu after signing in with the address the invitation went to.

Read the document
See who sent it, the message, the deadline and who has already signed.

Tap Sign
Sign as usual: with your electronic ID card, over NFC or a reader, or with your USB token. Your signature goes into your box and the other signatures stay untouched.

Done
The next signer is told automatically. When everyone has signed, each person gets an email and can keep the signed PDF in Documents.
What happens to the document
Encrypted end to end
The PDF, its title and the message are encrypted on your device. Only encrypted data reaches our server, and we cannot open it. We only see the names and email addresses of the signers, to send the invitations, who has signed and, if you choose to show it in the emails, the title.
Every signature timed
Each signature gets the exact date and time from an independent timestamp authority, so you can prove when it was made, even after the certificate expires.
Names checked
If someone signs with a certificate in a different name from the one invited, TapSign shows you the difference on the contract screen.
Not kept forever
A finished contract is deleted from the server 30 days after the last signature, and an unfinished one 90 days after it was sent. Keep the signed copy in Documents or on your computer.
Questions
Does it cost anything?
No. Sending and signing contracts is free, like the rest of the app.
Does everyone need TapSign?
To sign, yes: the signature is made with the ID card or token, and a browser cannot reach them. Anyone can read the contract in the browser at tapsign.eu, without the app.
What kind of signature is it?
Whatever each signer has: an advanced electronic signature with the Romanian ID card, or a qualified signature with a certSIGN, DigiSign or Trans Sped token. All are PAdES signatures that Adobe Acrobat and our verify page can check.
What if someone does not sign?
TapSign reminds them automatically after three days, then once a week, three times at most. You can also send a reminder from the contract screen. If the deadline passes, the contract expires.
Can I stop a contract I sent?
Yes. The sender can cancel it until everyone has signed, and the signers are told. Any signer can decline it, with or without a reason that only the people on the contract can read.
Which devices does it work on?
iPhone, iPad, Mac, Android, Windows and Linux. Each signer can use a different device.
Are there limits?
A PDF of up to 50 MB, up to ten signers per contract and up to 20 contracts sent per account per day.
